Airalia completed her midwifery training through the Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery.  Airalia worked with Marla Hicks, RN-BC, CPM, LM in their homebirth midwifery practice. She is a California Licensed Vocational Nurse with a strong background in hands-on patient care.  Airalia is an accomplished herbalist who uses this knowledge to provide treatment to her clients and to support their well-being throughout the pregnancy and postnatal period.  Airalia is a top level farming student learning organic and sustainable farming methods at Wild Willow Farms.  As a Certified Yoga Teacher, she specializes in prenatal yoga and uses this to help her pregnant clients stay centered and relaxed in their ever changing bodies.  Airalia worked side-by-side with Robin Lim, CNN's 2011 Hero of the Year, delivering 23 babies as an apprentice midwife in Bali at Robin's birth center, Yayasan Bumi Sehat.  Airalia is a placenta encapsulation specialist and offers this service to all of her clients as well as any mother seeking this service in San Diego County.

It was Airalia's own beautiful experiences with natural birth and homebirth during her four pregnancies that gave her a deep respect and reverence for the birthing process.  She sees birth as a deeply empowering rite of passage available to all women, and she carries this passion into the caring and supportive environment that she provides to all her clients.

Brent Keime has been licensed as an acupuncturist in the California since 2006. Brent is certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Brent earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.  While still in school, Brent completed clinical shifts at the UCSD downtown student-run free clinic project serving San Diego's homeless population, spent two years assisting Alex Tiberi (one of the country's top pediatric acupuncturists), and completed clinical shifts at Rady Children's Hospital in the hematology/oncology and chronic pain departments. 

Much of Brent's practice centers on the care of women in pregnancy.  Brent is both on faculty and an administrator for the Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery in San Diego.  Brent works closely with many San Diego area midwives to provide safe, drug-free, natural healthcare for expecting mothers.  This part of Brent's practice includes both the treatment of ailments common to pregnancy as well as maintaining optimal health and wellness to mothers and their babies throughout pregnancy and into postpartum care.  

Brent's role with The Placenta Whisperer is that of an 'herbal' adviser.  Brent uses his extensive knowledge in traditional Chinese herbal medicines to choose the perfect combination of herbs for your customized placenta encapsulation in order to meet your specific postpartum healthcare needs.
